Now that spring is here, it’s time to revamp our wardrobe for the warmer months ahead of us.  The spring 2012 collections provided lots of new trends and looks that we can wear on a night out with the girls, summer concerts, gallery openings and block parties.

First up “the mid drift” for those who kept up with their work out routines over the winter months bra tops, cropped sweaters, bandeaux and cropped blazers are in for spring summer.  These looks were seen on the runways in NYC, Milan and London. You can wear a bra top with a pencil skirt and throw on a blazer for a night out with the girls.

Second “and all that jazz” , art deco, the roaring 20′s was a huge inspiration for spring 2012 .  Fringed silk dresses , Metallic lamé and mesh paneled dresses worn with  metallic leather and suede sandals, glitter clutches and Silver-plated crystal earrings will have the spotlight on you as you hit up summer film festivals and concerts.

Third “game on athletic inspired “wear, as women are spending more time to keep their health in check the athletic looks compliments this mindset .  Designers created water-repellent parkas, color blocked windbreakers , scuba style tops and scuba peep-toe sandals.

Fouth “pastel shades” keep the color trend fresh with a softer palette of blues, pinks and yellows , violet.  Wear a soft pink Flat suede slingbacks with white jeans and top and a soft yellow patent-leather clutch .

Fifth “go global” , tribal prints are one of my favorite looks for spring 2012 season.  A Lebombo print maxi dress , Beaded leather sandals and Striped raffia & leather tote will give you a well traveled look for summer.

Sixth “flower prints” are always great for spring you can wear a floral chiffon blouse, floral denim shorts and sandals to a garden party.

Seventh “details” embellish your look with accessories such as a Crystal bow headband, embellished suede ballet flats, sequined clutch or shoulder bag.

Turbans seem to be a hot trend of the moment worn by the likes of stylist June Ambrose, Kourtney Kardashian , Chrisette Michelle in her new video and it’s been spotted on the Spring and Fall runways.  For those who don’t know much about turbans. Turbans were first spotted in Sudan according to German Historian by Leo Frobenius.  Turbans are truly a global headdress since various tribes and clans have been wearing them for either religious, spiritual or cultural reasons.
