MIUCCIA Prada packed up her Spring 2011 collection that was original presented at Milan Fashion Week in September and headed to Beijing ,China. This is the first time the company has presented their collection outside of Europe. Prada is among the top fashion houses who are focusing on the rising Chinese market.
The show featured top Asian faces, such as Liu Wen, Shu Pei, Tao Okamoto, Du Juan and Sun FeiFei and actresses Cecilia Cheung and Gong Li sat in the front row. China is currently the world’s fastest growing market for luxury goods and will soon be the top buyers fro products such as cosmetics, handbags, watches, shoes and clothes. Prada currently has 15 stores in China and recently announced the plan to open two new design houses and research office in Hong Kong.
