Stella McCartney’s Resort 2012 collection/garden party was held a private location in West Village, New York. The collection consisted of Hawaiian prints, a loose boxed shape silhouette and lots of colour. Riccardo Tisci created a dynamic collection for Givenchy Resort 2012 , using digitized floral prints on sheath dresses, skirts, and jackets. Riccardo was able to mix a Hawaiian surf feel with a sporty looks such as cropped sweatshirts over knit dresses, accessorized with bright orange leather bags, visors and floral print shows. Saskia de Brauw, Ajak Deng and Joan Smalls displayed the clothes.
Balenciaga Resort 2012 had graphic herringbone prints, cocoon shaped coats, trousers with Indian embroidery and a-line skirts that creative director Nicolas Ghesquière called “umbrella skirts”. Nyasha Matonhodze was one of the models who displayed the Resort 2012 collection for Balenciaga pictured above.
