Pinko Ethiopia Initiative
Italian design house Pinko created 6 eco-friendly, 100 percent cotton bags for the ”PINKO bag for Ethiopia” which helps the African population with PINKO and Fashion 4 Development to promote economic growth in poverty-stricken regions. The design inspirations for the bags come from body-painting traditions in southern Ethiopia’s Omo Valley, photographer Hans Silvester has 3 published books with photographic work capturing the beauty of the Omo Valley. Above Liya Kebede is wearing an Ari sweatshirt from the collection at the launch party in Milan’s Studio Giangaleazzo Visconti.
