Indego Africa and clothing and accessory brand J.Crew have collaborated on a line of fair trade bracelets produced by Indego Africa’s artisan partners, Rwandan textile cooperatives Cocoki and Abasangiye. The twisted wrap bracelets come in three colors and are currently available for sale on J.Crew’s website and at J.Crew locations for $22.50 each.
“Indego went above and beyond in the name of empowerment, creating a business training program to encourage entrepreneurship and independence among the artisans. Woven from locally sourced Dutch wax cloth—and individually signed by the artists—these brightly hued pieces might just be the ultimate friendship bracelets.”
